I always thought Sunbeam is a great brand … that is, until I bought this console! From the start it would fire and the smell, as if something was burning. I thought it had caught fire at some point, because it was the smoke! Stopped working, but then perhaps it would be cool for 10 minutes of each interval. This is a decent product that could be a great product. For the price I would say that the highest degree of functionality to build, but only marginally in terms of quality. I was a little 'disappointed when I opened it. The steel case is only aesthetic. There is a fine layer of plastic underneath. When it is, get the job done. The mixers are stationary, and the bowl rotates beneath it. The gear selector is on the back, which works well for me, but it makes little sense. You have to keep the mixer turned on its side. If the shell is facing forward, then you have to reach to the back to choose the speed.
